Based in New York, Mr. Ahmed joined the firm as General Counsel overseeing legal and regulatory affairs globally. Mr. Ahmed’s legal and operational experience spans across multiple disciplines including direct investments, asset management, mining, physical commodities, healthcare, infrastructure, blockchain and cryptocurrencies and defense contracting. Specifically, he has worked in both an internal and external role as either General Counsel, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Strategy Officer or Chief Operations Officer overseeing legal and strategy for firms in the defense industry, alternative asset management and investment banking. Previous firms include: Thor Global Defense Group, Solus Alternative Asset Management, Unified Global Intelligence Corp, ARX Group, First Look Strategic Investments and Morgan Stanley. Mr. Ahmed is an alumnus of Duke University with degrees in Economics and Psychology. In addition, he holds a Juris Doctorate from Hofstra Law School with dual concentrations in Corporate and Securities Law and Criminal Law and Procedure.
